I know I promised you a post about the great Basque restaruant we went to in Castelldefels, but that's going to have to wait untill I get some pictures of it (great excuse to go back I say). So I have been huming about what to write as nothing much has been going on this week just the normal day to day life. Fortunately this evening gave me the answer.

Why do we make excuses for ourselves when we are saying/doing something we want to do !!!

I find myself saying sorry for things that I'm not really sorry about but think other people may take it the wrong way - for example

1) I used to live in The Bahamas but I usually end up apolgising before I say it because experience has taught me that people usually don't believe me. eg a conversation I once had went along the lines of
other person - so where did you move here from

me - errrm Bahamas
op - what ... no way..... your kidding

me - errm no, sorry, not kidding The Bahamas
op- stands and gawps at me while shaking head

what I should have said is Yes that's right I lived there and had a bloody good time while I did - but I didn't.

2) If i'm out shopping you can bet if someone bumps into me I will be the one to say sorry/ pardon - why is this I know I was brought up to be polite but by the age of 38 I should be able to stand up for myself a bit more.

But tonight was the funniest, me and hubby had gone across to the cafe in the Accura Gym to sit outside and have a wine or two, the sun was out it was lovely - before we knew it the bottle was gone. Now here is the delema we really wanted another wine but didn't want to order any more BECAUSE IT LOOKED BAD, so what did we do we rang Wonder Woman and asked her if she fancied joining us because then we didn't look bad when we ordered more !! The stupid thing is the waiter there know us and was just bringing out some more wine to us before we even asked.

So I think the moral of the story is - be yourself and do/say what you want to do, if it's not hurting anyone else it shouldn't hurt you.
