To understand something about the city, to understand the Barcelona people a trip to the FC Barcelona museum is a good starting point. There is something about FC Barcelona, that verges near to hysteria, concerning their football club. "More than a club" ( "mes que un club") is not said without a reason, this is really a question of life-style and even if you are not a die hard fan, it is somehow in their blood. I have realised this fact, in the first year of living here in Barcelona. The catalans are very proud people and one thing that they are very proud about is FC Barcelona football club.

Not only is it the best footballing museum in the world, it is also the most popular museum of any kind in Catalonia along with the Picasso museum, regularly receiving more than 1,160,000 visitors a year.

A trip to the museum includes the FC Barcelona History Museum which is a superb collection of photos, documents and trophies detailing the club's illustrious history. The Art Gallery exhibits priceless works by famous local artists including Dalí, Miró and Tàpies and the Futbolart Collection is a fascinating display of football memorabilia throughout history.

You can visit the museum and/or take an guided tour which takes visitors into the changing rooms, down the tunnel and onto the Nou Camp pitch. Fans can also see the substitute's bench, the altar, TV studio, press rooms, directors area and get a panoramic view of the stadium. FC Barcelona fans will not be diappointed as will anybody, who wants to find out about the heart and soul of the city.

The FC Barcelona Museum is situated in the Nou Camp Stadium,Aristides Maillol,no 7 08028, Barcelona.
