Yesterday we met a german friend who had been staying in Barcelona for the weekend and she suggested that we meet up for a few Tapas and beers! She had discovered as many other people too the lively Tapas bar Ciudad Condal. This very lively tapas bar is one that I only have something good to say about!
Although it is situated in a very central touristy area it passed the, " locals seem to be eating here too test!" Which I find is often the most important indication, of whether a bar is good or not. No locals, then you can expect it to be, pricey and the food not up to the high catalan standard.

Ciudad Condal has a fairly large area where you can sit at the bar and admire, what can only be described as, large selection of very appetising looking tapas. Everything, and I mean everything looked good and fresh, which of course makes selection difficult.
We opted to go and sit at a table. They have a fairly large dining area which is spacious and pleasant to the eye with very attentive waiters. I wont go through the whole menu, but you can order basically anything from their large catalan card.

Perhaps one of the very suprising things about Ciudad Condal were the incredibly reasonable prices. You really do not need to spend a fortune and are served with very high quality food. I can only highly recommend Ciudad Condalwhich is situated on the Rambla de Catalunya 18
