So the fitness programme has begun in earnest! A 15 minute cycle ride from Gava-Mar to Castelldefels with a strong wind blowing into my face was the perfect prelude to my morning croissant. In fact, I was feeling positively entitled to eat my pastry without a shred of guilt. Surely the ride would have burned enough calories to make the calories of the croissant 0? At least this is what I am telling myself, and I'm sticking with it!
So anyway, where did we end up today? Well, the first stop was the bakery "Forn de Pa" It might not look too good from the outside but you must not be put off by this! Oh no! Inside you will be greeted by an array, of what can only described as mouth watering pastries and breads. Something to suit both the sweet and the savoury tooth.

Croissants that are filled with cheese and ham or maybe a savoury pastry filled with tuna? Me, I opted for the utterly delcious cream filled doughnut "Chuxcho." In the moment of eating this delicacy nothing had ever tasted better! My husband was equally delighted with his tuna enpanadia! There are lots more things to try out...we will be back!
Fed but not yet watered we still need our caffeine fix and a few metres along the road we find the coffee shop Mare Nostrum! Here we are greeted by a very friendly older gentleman who delivers the much needed Cafe con Leche to our table. In fact he even gives us a free croissant! Are we looking hungry? Probably the weight loss is much quicker than anticipated and we actually look like we need to eat! Whatever! I thought this was a positively kind gesture and of course we decided to take another coffee in this very friendly establishement!Forn de Pa is situated in Castelldefels Playa

and receives an undisputed 9 out of 10!
Mare Nostrum is situated in Avda. dels Banys, 12 (just a few metres away from the bakery) and also a 9 out of 10!

Yes, we start from a very high level! It's going to be hard to beat! We cycle home feeling like we have really worked for our breakfast!!
